Entering into a partnership that opens up the capital of a family business is not something you do with just anyone. The decision to bring Sofindev on board was a well-considered choice, aligned with our ambition to further grow and develop Vanrobaeys.
With the entry of Sofindev in 2020, Wopaco gained a strong financial and strategic partner to accelerate its growth trajectory. This growth is pursued both organically, through the expansion of the product offering and strengthening of the team, and via targeted acquisitions and partnerships.
A first major step was taken in late 2022 with the partnership with Gésibois, a well-established player in the wood sector led by Tom and Mireille Oostendorp. In June 2023, a second strategic expansion followed through a collaboration with Mekranoti, a specialist in interior doors and ready-to-install door systems.
These partnerships reinforce Wopaco’s position as a leading provider of high-quality solutions for the woodworking and interior construction sectors.
