Syx Automations, founded by entrepreneur Dirk Syx in 1990, is the Benelux market leader in software automation solutions for the broad sports, culture and leisure sectors. With its own developed software ReCreateX®, Syx Automations offers its customers in the Benelux and UK a software platform specifically developed for amusement parks, museums, zoos, theatres and sports centres. In addition to its core software platform, Syx Automations also provides IT infrastructure, hosting, access control and building management systems.

The group is also active as a producer of plastic cards and a supplier of associated technology and services in the Benelux. Syx Graphics is led by Niels Syx, son of Dirk Syx.

Our contribution

The Syx family, management and Sofindev entered into a partnership in 2013 with the intention of professionalising the company, setting up the organisation and enabling rapid growth. In close consultation with the Syx family, the management and organisation were strengthened. Syx Graphics' card production activities were disconnected from Syx Automations' software operations to allow both companies to realise their full potential.

In 2017, a successful culmination of the partnership followed, on the one hand with the replacement of Sofindev as majority shareholder by the Austrian group Gantner, and on the other hand with the acquisition of Syx Graphics by Niels Syx. Management remained in place in the new structure with Gantner and acquired a minority stake in the new combined group.
